DIRECTIONS FROM FURTHER AWAY

London, M25 and the north

Follow the M25 south to the M20. Follow the M20 south to junction 9 (Ashford). From junction 9 take the A28 in the direction of Tenterden. Tenterden is approximately 12 miles from the M20. As you approach Tenterden refer to the local directions.

You can also leave the M20 at Leeds Castle (Junction 8) and make your way over to the A274 and travel down through Sutton Valence and Headcorn. This can be a quick way if you know the route. If you don't know the route it is easy to get lost as there are few road sign directions because the local council want to discourage road users from taking the route through the village of Leeds (B2163).

Canterbury and the East Kent coast

Follow the A28 from Canterbury to Tenterden (about 27 miles) via Ashford. Journey time about 45 minutes. As you approach Tenterden refer to the local directions.

Brighton

Journey time from Brighton is at least 1.5 hours. Find your way over to the A265 through Heathfield and Burwash, the A229 through Hawkhurst, the A268 through Sandhurst and the A28 through Rolvenden to Tenterden.

Hastings, East Sussex

Journey time about 45 minutes. Take the A28 through Northiam and Rolvenden, or take the A259 via Rye.
